As an effective aromatherapy essential oil, lemon grass is pretty darned versatile. Here are just some of the many uses for lemongrass essential oil.
It treats literally dozens of different mental, emotional, spiritual and physical conditions. Need to get rid of some pesky fleas? Add a few drops of lemongrass essential oil to your dog’s shampoo.
Are you always looking at things negatively? Maybe you have just recently found yourself sporting a negative attitude. If so, place just a single drop of lemongrass essential oil into the palm of one of your hands. Rub your hands together firmly, and then inhale slowly for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Varicose veins are unsightly, and you can’t be blamed for wanting to hide or cover up your legs if you suffer from this condition. Don’t worry, lemongrass can rescue you from this situation as well. Add 2 drops of cyprus oil to 2 drops of lemongrass essential oil and combine with 1 tablespoon of a carrier oil. Apply directly to your varicose veins once or twice a day.
Lemongrass oil also works well as a treatment on wounds and whiplash. Urinary tract infections, stiffness, mental fatigue and muscle strains, kidney functions and Graves’ disease all benefit from a therapeutic application of lemongrass oil.
This widely used essential oil also positively treats mental conditions like hoarding and limiting beliefs.
Lemongrass is one of the most well-rounded and versatile essential oils found in the aromatherapy medicine box.
