A natural pain reliever and circulatory stimulant, lemongrass was traditionally used in Chinese medicine to relieve sore muscles and joints. The aroma clarifies and heightens consciousness, while the antibacterial, antiseptic, antioxidant, antiviral, disinfectant, and astringent properties enable the oil to strengthen skin health and protect the immune system.
But the uses of this oil do not end there; lemongrass is a superb bug repellent that defends against any number of bugs, be they mosquitoes, ticks, or fleas.
Blended together with lavender and eucalyptus, you can quickly have yourself an all-natural homemade bug spray that will ensure a happier, less irritating summer – not to mention a reduced risk of disease contracted from these pathogen-carrying pests.
When the bugs start to bother you, try this easy recipe for bug spray with lemongrass essential oil.
